Aggregate Recycling

A list of aggregate recycling companies providing recycled and secondary aggregates to the construction industry.

Recycled aggregates derive from the reprocessing of materials that have seen previous use within construction. They can be produced either at the site of the source (which can save on transportation and benefit the environment); or within a central plant. Concrete and scrap from asphalt plants are common examples.

Secondary aggregates in comparison tend to have not been previously used in construction. Usually, they are the by-products of other industrial processes – such as slate, slag and foundry sand.
