Donghua Targets Uptime
with X3 Chain
WEAR LIFE PERFORMANCE
When chain drives fail the cost is rarely just the price of
replacement chain. Downtime, lost production, and emergency
callouts add up. It’s a challenge Donghua has addressed with
its premium range X3 Roller Chain.
Built for the toughest applications
Launched into the UK market in 2022, X3 Chain was developed
specifically for the demands of high-load, high-wear
applications such as quarrying, construction and recycling
equipment. Conveyors, crushers, screens and shredders subject
roller chain to severe shock loads, high running speeds, and
contamination. It’s an environment where standard chain can
quickly wear.
Engineered for 3x performance
A unique pin coating, optimised plate geometry, and high-
precision press-fit pins combine to deliver what Donghua
describes as three times the performance of comparable roller
chain for wear resistance, fatigue resistance and high-speed.
For plant operators, that means longer periods of time
between servicing, fewer unplanned stoppages, and a lower
total cost over the life of the machine.
Manufacturing quality and UK availability
X3 is manufactured on a purpose-built automated production
line by one of the world’s largest chain manufacturers and
designed for sectors running high-demand drives. Available ex-
stock from Donghua’s West Midlands warehouse in both
British and American standards (ANSI 40-120), from 06B to
24B, and in simplex, duplex and triplex configurations, and
pre-lubricated and pre-loaded, the chain can be supplied for a
planned upgrade or as an urgent replacement.
With quarrying, construction and recycling operators under
constant pressure to maximise uptime and extend the life of
every component, X3 Chain has become the chain of choice.
