A1 Infrastructure Trade In For New Cat 308D With CAT Compact Dealer Britcom

Lincolnshire based civil engineering and building works experts A1 Infrastructure and Building Ltd has recently completed a trade in deal for a new Cat 308D midi excavator with Cat compact dealer Britcom International Ltd.

Commenting on the deal, managing director of A1 Infrastructure and Building Ltd, Michael O'Boyle said, "Following on from a visit to the Caterpillar factory in Desford, Leicester where we had a chance to operate the Cat 308D, we saw some significant advantages in the performance of the unit against our existing product."

"Taking this into consideration we were able to work with our Cat representative at Britcom, Michelle Tate put a package deal together to facilitate the change. By trading in our older competitor unit, we opted for a long stick version of the Cat 308D as it gives us a greater deal of flexibility."

Following on from the successful use of the equipment, A1 Infrastructure has already agreed a deal for an additional unit.

Britcom's plant sales executive, Michelle Tate added, "Since Britcom became a Cat Compact dealer, we've been able to talk to a large number of customers not familiar with the Cat compact range. This has presented numerous opportunities to take customers to the Desford Caterpillar Visitor Centre, which is a perfect venue to demonstrate machines. The Cat 308D midi excavator is a hugely popular unit with customers, as it combines a small footprint with a lot of power and versatility.

"With this machine we are focusing on getting more operators into the cab to witness the capabilities of the unit. Performance aside, we were also able to demonstrate the level of support available to A1 Infrastructure, giving them a greater deal of confidence in the aftermarket solutions from Britcom and Finning, something which they felt lacking from their previous supplier."
