CASE confirm sales of 29 machines at Scotplant 2016.

It was a highly successful Scotplant 2016 for CASE Construction Equipment and their dealer Hodge Plant Ltd, with sales of machines, new CASE customers, plus a record number of participants taking part in the CASE Rodeo Challenge.

Hodge Plant Ltd also announced they are expanding their dealership with the opening of a new site in Nairn, which will offer sales and service support to customers in the north and Highlands.
With the largest stand at the show CASE had a comprehensive line-up of machines from across their heavy and compact ranges. There was also the first UK opportunity to view new machines, including the new D Series excavators, the 2050M Dozer and the new 695ST and 580ST backhoe loaders, which all attracted a lot of interest.

CASE who hosted the stand together with their dealer Hodge Plant secured sales to both new and existing customers during the two-day event. This included the signing of the first deal of the day with Cumbernauld based DOW Group, who purchased an F Series 721FXR waste wheel loader. Existing Hodge Plant customer Elliot Henderson & Sons Ltd purchased a CX370 D Series excavator (the first in Scotland), adding to his CASE fleet of excavators.

Scotplant was also the venue for the 1st round of the CASE Rodeo Challenge, attracting 100 operators who were keen to test their skill and speed. Operating the latest CASE 690ST backhoe loader and working against the clock they had to place a number of balls into a basketball net. Coming first with an impressive time of 1:18 was John Jardine, from John Jardine Plant Hire. He will now have to wait to find out what times are posted in the second round at Hillhead to see if he has done enough to secure a place in the finals, which take place in Paris later this year.

Morris Leslie, managing director of Morris Leslie Group who were also exhibiting at Scotplant visited the CASE stand to confirm they would be placing an order for machines to add to their existing CASE fleet, which are working on projects across the UK.

Alistair Hodge, director of Hodge Plant Ltd, said: “This has been a very successful show for us, as well as welcoming existing customers to the stand we have made many new contacts and secured sales. We have also had extremely positive feedback from customers viewing the new D Series range, which is very encouraging. ”

Scott Freeman, business director CNH Industrial Construction Equipment for UK and Eire added: “Scotplant has always been a successful show for us and this year has been no exception. Our new D Series range has been very well received, and sales in general have been very encouraging. We are also attracting many new customers to the CASE brand in Scotland through our dealer Hodge Plant, which I’m confident will continue to increase with the opening of their site in Nairn. We now look forward to Hillhead.”
