EDGE Innovate Name “Exporter of the Year” at the Made in NI awards

EDGE Innovate attended the 2017 “Made in NI” Awards along with leading manufacturers from across the province. The awards, which recognise the most ambitious & innovative companies in Northern Ireland took place at the iconic Europa Hotel in Belfast on Friday 12th May.

EDGE Innovate were shortlisted in two different categories; Exporter of the Year and Manufacturer of the Year (under 25m). On the night; EGDE walked away with the Export Award with the judges being hugely impressed with the scale of ambition that the company has shown in its exporting strategies and how it has taken its products into challenging markets through a network of global distributors.

EDGE has developed a truly global presence, having sold their extensive product range of Material Handling and Recycling equipment into, 35 different countries with over 65 distributors making up their global distributor network.

Commenting on the company’s latest success, Managing Director Darragh Cullen said; “the success EDGE Innovate has enjoyed in recent years is ultimately a reflection on our people, their hard work and motivation to bring, new innovative products to the market. This drive, combined with the quality service our global partners provide ensure the demand for EDGE products is growing. To walk away with the Exporter of the Year award, is a great recognition of the efforts of all those who represent EDGE Innovate throughout the globe”.

On the night; EDGE were also highly commended for Manufacturer of the Year, with SAM Mouldings claiming the top prize. EDGE will now go on to represent Northern Ireland at the “Made in the UK” Awards finals, taking place in Liverpool on June 22nd. This event is the national final where the winners from 10 regional “Made in” events come together to see who the overall national winners will be.
