Energopol Purchases New Doosan Extra Long Reach Excavators for Piast Canal Waterfront Development

Polish civil engineering company, Energopol, has purchased four new Doosan DX530ELR-3 extra long reach crawler exavators from Grausch i Grausch Maszyny Budowlane Sp. z o.o., the Authorised Doosan dealer for Poland, based in Złotkowo near Poznan.
Working throughout Poland, Energopol is engaged in a diverse range of civil engineeriing projects, from constructing road, bridge and wastewater systems to building large structures and hydro-engineering schemes.
The new Doosan excavators have been chosen for use by Energopol on the new Piast Canal Waterfront Development project, which is expected to be completed in about two and a half years. The conditions on this contract are challenging as the work will have to be performed from pontoons placed on the water. The new excavators meet a need for very reliable and robust equipment and Energopol believes the new DX530ELR-3 crawler exavators are the best equipped machines on the market for the task. They are also new Stage IIIB compliant machines which meet the stringent environmental guidelines for work on the project.
“The purchase decision was based on the excellent reputation of Doosan as a heavy construction equipment manufacturer and the ability of the machines to meet the parameters of the job. The latter were made even more challenging due to the specific nature of the work,” said Krzysztof Dudziewicz from Energopol. ”Another important factor was our long-standing relationship with the Doosan dealer, Grausch i Grausch. We have great confidence in their role as a distributor and the professionalism they show which is all important when key decisions such as this are to be made.”
The DX530ELR-3 model is the extra long reach (ELR) version of the new Stage IIIB compliant Doosan DX530LC-3 crawler excavator, the successor to the very successful DX520LC model. The four new 53.8 tonne DX530ELR-3 excavators are equipped with 19 m long ELR arms. Each machine will be placed on a pontoon weighing between 200 and 500 tonne.
