Final preparations are underway for ScotPlant 2018, which will feature the latest machines and innovations from some of the world’s largest construction equipment manufacturers.
The Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, will once again host the two-day trade event, which runs from April 20-21.
Visitors will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with standout machines from the likes of Caterpillar, JCB, Volvo, Liebherr, Case, Sandvik, Komatsu, Doosan, Hyundai, Takeuchi, Wacker Neuson and Kubota.
ScotPlant 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the biennial exhibition, which has become a focal point for the Scottish plant industry.
Over 150 exhibitors have already signed up to appear, spread across the large outdoor showground and the indoor Lowland Hall.
Featuring global brands, new exhibitors and local firms, the event delivers something for everyone.Highlights this year will include the European debut of the new Hyundai HX130 LCR crawler excavator, which is due to make an appearance on the Young Plant Sales stand. The machine is the third compact-radius excavator in Hyundai’s HX series product line.ScotPlant debutants Molson Green will use the event for the Scottish unveiling of the Sennebogen 817E, a compact purpose-built material handler specifically designed for use in tight or indoor environments.
The new Takeuchi TB225 towable mini excavator will take centre-stage on the manufacturer’s stand, while TDL Equipment has confirmed it will use ScotPlant to announce a new Scottish partnership with Mecalac.
Attachments specialist Miller UK will mark “40 years of innovation”, while Access Platform Sales, the official UK distributor for Hinowa tracked booms, will be showing off the recently-released Hinowa Lightlift 13.70, a 13m tracked boom, and its larger counterpart, the Lightlift 20.10.
Marubeni-Komatsu made a welcome return to ScotPlant two years ago following a 14-year absence. The firm is back again with a line-up that includes the new PC80MR-5 midi excavator, featuring an integrated counterweight and tight tail swing radius.
The thriving tiltrotator market will also be well served with exhibitors including Steelwrist UK, Engcon dealer JCC Group and Highland Hammer Hire, the recently appointed Scottish distributors for Rototilt.
