Greenline Invests In New Vehicle For Pay By Weight

Greenline Environmental, the London-based 24/7 waste collection and disposal specialists, has invested in a brand-new 26t refuse vehicle equipped with bin-weighing to launch its Pay-By-Weight trade refuse service.

“We started doing trade waste collections two years ago and its proven to be a popular service but the days of turning a blind eye to overweight bins are long gone, because we have to pay for the excess weight. To keep our business operating profitably we need to pass these costs on to the customers who throw the most. So, we have invested in a new truck fitted with bin weighing
and we are switching to a Pay By Weight service.”

As of 1 October Greenline Environmental is weighing every collection and charging for any excess weight.

The vehicle is a 26t Rear Steer Mercedes Econic, Hillend Powerlink complete with UTL Trade bin lift, and equipped with the ENVIROWEIGH bin weighing system from VWS.

It has been supplied by Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) who provide brand-new commercial spec refuse trucks without customers having to wait the long lead times. Known as RediTruck it is a unique service that takes care of every aspect of purchasing a new refuse vehicle. The chassis, body, bin lift and ancillary elements, are all specified and fitted so the vehicle is ready to go out to work immediately.
