  • Heidelberg Materials UK is resuming direct supply of aggregate from its Station Road, Fareham depot from 10 February 2026.
  • The rail connected depot will provide premium grade limestone for use by customers in construction and infrastructure projects across Hampshire and beyond.
  • This move sees the company returning to the area after several years hiatus.

Heidelberg Materials is resuming supply of premium grade limestone for use in construction projects from its Station Road, Fareham depot from 10 February 2026.

It marks the company’s return to directly supplying the Hampshire market with the resumption of its own operations at the rail connected site. The move is part of the company’s strategy to fully utilise its network of rail-connected depots and will reduce vehicle movements and associated CO₂ emissions.

As well as offering customers limestone direct from the company’s Whatley quarry in the Mendips, the Fareham depot will also supply an extensive range of aggregate products for use in building or specialist applications. The depot is expected to handle around 150,000 tonnes of material a year, rising to approximately 200,000 tonnes over the next three years.

Vincent Pitt, Area Manager Mendips and Masters at Heidelberg Materials UK, said: “We are excited to be returning to our Fareham depot. We see resuming direct supply to the area as a real vote of confidence in the future of the Hampshire market and we look forward to developing relationships with existing customers as well as developing new ones.”

Jim Pearce, Strategic and Commercial Excellence Manager at Heidelberg Materials UK, added: “Our Fareham depot, located close to the A27, is well-placed to service many of the major schemes currently underway or about to start in the region as well as smaller-scale projects in Southampton and Portsmouth.”
