Hills Waste Solutions secures Center Parcs contract
Hills Waste Solutions has successfully secured the contract to provide waste management services at Center Parcs’ Longleat Forest Village near Warminster, Wiltshire.
The 3 year contract will see Hills deliver general and recyclable waste collection services (excluding food waste) across the leisure park with a focus on maximising recycling performance and achieving a zero waste to landfill.
Simon Collins, account manager for Hills, said: “Center Parcs was looking for a cost effective service with innovative solutions and we are pleased to be able to satisfy their requirements. Hills’ extensive experience in delivering similar successful services at other self-contained facilities will be hugely beneficial for this contract.”
The contract, which commences in Nov 2013, will initially focus on increasing the frequency of recycling container collections from once every two weeks to weekly. General waste collections will be made twice weekly with call-off servicing of on-site compactors along with skips and rolonof containers.
Simon continues: “We will be working closely with Center Parcs’ site management team to establish the success of the increased availability of recycling services and offer suggestions on educational initiatives for staff and guests to reinforce recycling habits. For that which cannot be recycled, we have the facilities to treat and extract resource from waste to ensure the zero waste to landfill target is achieved.”
