Increased throughput of paper cardboard waste after the installation of BHS Tri-Disc™ screens
Austria-based Energie AG Oberösterreich Umwelt Service GmbH has added two BHS Tri-Disc™ screens to their waste paper sorting plant.
Entsorgungstechnik BAVARIA GmbH, Nihot customer and system integrator for the project, has extensive experience with these screens and is well aware of their effectiveness. “We have highly recommended the BHS screens for more than 20 years,” said Director of Entsorgungstechnik BAVARIA GmbH Angela Hanke. “They are effective, space-saving, low-maintenance and easy to handle.”
The waste paper sorting plant has a throughput up to 8 t/h and produces deinked paper. The main objective of the plant’s modernisation is to reduce the manual sorting and increase the input quantity up to 15 t/h. The new OCC Separator® screen (replacing an old competitor’s ballistic separator) guarantees the increased throughput and is producing high-quality cardboard. The Paper Fines Screen (PFS) is not a replacement, but a new step in the process to increase quality. Small and soiled paper is removed to prepare the material for further purification by the NIR optical sorter.
