Middleton Engineering welcomes Daniel Vowles as our new Aftersales Manager

Middleton Engineering is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel “Dan” Vowles as its new Aftersales Manager. With over 10 years of experience managing service teams in the quarrying, construction, and recycling sectors, Dan will lead the company’s service and parts division, with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction, reducing downtime, and supporting Middleton’s 300+ installations worldwide.

Dan will be the main point of contact for all aftersales support, including scheduled maintenance, breakdown response, parts supply, and service contract management. His appointment also marks a renewed push to reconnect with former clients and strengthen support for new customers through a more proactive and structured approach.

As part of this transition, Middleton Engineering would also like to confirm that Richard Turner, a highly respected figure within the business and someone many customers will know well, will continue in his vital role as Service and Parts Coordinator. Richard has been with Middleton Engineering since 1988 and brings unmatched knowledge, dedication, and customer familiarity. He will now report to Dan, who will support Richard’s ongoing work while leading the broader strategy and day-to-day operation of the aftersales function.

“We’re delighted to welcome Dan to the Middleton Engineering team,” said James Vaughan, Head of Commercial. “Dan’s practical industry experience, leadership skills, and customer-first mindset make him the ideal person to lead our aftersales team into its next phase. At the same time, we’re proud to have Richard continuing in his long-held role. His commitment and deep relationships with our customers are a huge asset to the business, and Dan’s role will strengthen and support this even further.”

Dan will also oversee the continued rollout of Middleton’s tailored service contracts, which offer customers a proactive maintenance schedule, remote technical support, genuine parts, and priority access to engineers. These contracts help reduce breakdowns, extend the life of Middleton machinery, and bring peace of mind to recycling and waste-handling operations across the UK and beyond.

Dan Vowles commented: “I’m excited to be joining Middleton at such a pivotal point in its growth. This is a business with a long-standing reputation for quality and service, and I’m especially pleased to be working alongside Richard, whose knowledge and relationships with customers are second to none. Together, we’ll continue to raise the bar."
