New dedicated Screed Plant at Tout Quarry, Somerset.

S Morris Ltd have been independent quality material suppliers in Somerset since the 1920s, to complement our existing 3 ready mix plants we have erected a dedicated screed plant at Tout Quarry, Somerset.

The plant is ideally located just off the A303 and can service all of Somerset, parts of Devon, Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire & Gloucestershire With a wide range of tipper sizes available they can supply any sized loads for any sized contracts.

The Meka plant was supplied by Berkshire Engineering Services and is capable of producing up to 100 cubic metres per hour through the 2 cubic metre twin shaft mixer. The plant is the most technologically advanced screed plant in the South West, all 4 aggregate bins are constantly monitored for moisture content and the advanced control systems adjusts the water content during the loading process to ensure a consistent quality screed All the raw materials are tested weekly and test prisms are taken more frequently to check both flexural and compressive strength.

All this is undertaken by the laboratory at Tout Quarry ensuring you will always have a consistent and highest quality screed from S Morris Ltd. The plant can also produce Liquid Gypsol Screed.
