New Mountsorrel Concrete Batching Plant

There are positive noises coming out of the construction industry in and around the Leicestershire county with a plethora of exciting new developments currently in-running.

The encouraging signals have been reinforced by Mick George Ltd, one of the major construction firms in the region who have installed a brand-new Concrete Batching Plant at its Mountsorrel site to serve many of these commercial projects and local tradesmen, including the new Leicester City Training Academy.

Designed by one of the Worlds market leaders in Ready-Mixed-Concrete Batching Plants, Cifa by Euromecc, this ‘Fast 2500 B Firenze’ state-of-the-art plant is capable of batching up to 100m3 per hour.

The latest batch control system, twin shaft mixer, three one-hundred-tonne silos, moisture probes and galvanised aggregate storage bins provides local tradesmen with piece of mind that their concrete will remain consistent in quality and performance.

Although Mick George Ltd operate a fleet of over 30-barrel mixers for delivery throughout the county, the new Batching Plant facilitates concrete collections in minutes, consequently reducing any interruption to working schedules of local tradesmen.

Two of Mick George’s forty plus sites reside in the Leicestershire area, providing comprehensive Skip Hire, Aggregates and Commercial Waste services to residential, trade and commercial clients in and around the county.

Michael George, Managing Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’Leicestershire is increasingly becoming one of our core territories for many of our main services as we continue to grow geographically.’’

George continued: ‘’The business has high aspirations for our concrete service in Leicestershire and to achieve them we recognise that we need to suitably invest in the necessary areas. We’re confident that the new plant’ will provide local tradesmen with the quality concrete that they come to expect.’’
