Powerscreen enters the Chinese market at Bauma China

Powerscreen one of the world leaders in the crushing and screening industry announced their intention to enter to the Chinese market at bauma China, Shanghai. In 2016 Powerscreen marks half a century of serving the crushing and screening industry around the world. Established in 1966, Powerscreen has achieved its five-decade legacy through industry leadership, customer input and innovation. “We will leverage our strong global reputation and expertise to enter the Chinese market” said Colin Clements, Powerscreen Global Product Line Director.

Powerscreen pioneered the mobile concept of crushing and screening in many countries around the world taking the machines to the quarry face rather than the expensive process of moving the material to the machine. Powerscreen not only pioneered the mobile machine concept but also set new standards for many products and technologies that have become widely adopted in the industry, including the Chieftain and Warrior ranges of mobile screens. In 2017 Powerscreen will launch the Warrior 1200 making the Warriors the most comprehensive and enviable range of mobile scalping units in the industry.

In the last 50 years, Powerscreen has gone above and beyond in its product development efforts, focusing on what customers need to be successful in their industries and applications — Powerscreen innovations are changing the market and setting the industry standard for quality, reliability and safety in crushing and screening equipment.

The Powerscreen product portfolio is a comprehensive range of robust crushing and screening machinery that suits quarrying, sand & gravel, mining, demolition & recycling industries, contract crushing & screening companies and the rental industry and the first machines will enter the Chinese market in 2017.

“We see a requirement for Powerscreen products working in the small recycling business, medium size contractors and mine sites in China” said Willie Yin Business Development Director, Powerscreen China. Yin continued “While the Chinese market has traditionally used static crushing and screening equipment we believe there is an expanding market for the mobile concept.”

The key to the success of the Powerscreen brand is the global distribution network, there are over 120 distributors operating globally providing local maintenance, education and support service to end users. “This dealer network is something we will replicate in China” said Yin.
Yin continued “At Powerscreen we believe understanding the customer requirements and application is a vital first step in the crushing and screening process. This allows for the correct solution to suit production requirements and will result in a positive return on investment for the customer.” As part of the entry strategy in China an Applications Department has been established to provide the necessary guidance to the Chinese customers.
