Recycling specialist Casepak joins RECOUP

Specialist recycling firm Casepak has joined RECOUP, the UK’s leading independent authority on plastics recycling.

RECOUP, a registered charity founded in 1990, aims to connect the whole plastics value chain to develop the plastic circular economy and educate the public and businesses on all aspects of plastics recycling and resource efficiency.

Casepak operates a collection and processing facility and a materials recycling facility in the East Midlands, which together process over 450,000 tonnes a year of source segregated and dry mixed recyclables. The company has been in existence since 1973 and is recognised today as one of the UK’s most dynamic recycling companies.

Jacob Smith, Operations Manager at  Casepak, said: “We are very pleased to become members of RECOUP and share our knowledge and expertise, while collaborating with others in the sector.

“As a company we are determined to help drive a more circular plastics system and coordinate with other parts of the supply chain to ensure we are sharing best practice to help protect the environment by increasing plastics recycling and reuse. We are looking forward to being active members of RECOUP and proactively supporting its important work.”

Casepak joins over 170 other organisations as members of RECOUP, ranging from manufacturers through to local authorities, waste management companies, reprocessors and universities.

Stuart Foster, Chief Executive Officer at RECOUP, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Casepak to RECOUP. By bringing the organisations together, we can accelerate positive change in plastic circularity, and look forward to collaborating, supporting and developing practical, informed solutions."
