Release of the latest generation of two smart shredders

Doppstadt’s slow speed shredder line continues to expand!

Doppstadt is launching two new models, the Inventhor Type 6 and Methor, which are right in line with the company’s “Smart Solutions” concept: Mobile, modular machines that can be used cost-effectively and flexibly in a wide variety of areas of application and which are distinguished by low investment costs and a fast return on investment.

By doing so, Doppstadt offers its customers, as usual, technologically first-class, ecologically exemplary solutions that perfectly harmonize maximum reliability and variability in use. With the Inventhor Type 6, the successor to the market-leading DW 3060 is now ready to set new standards of use in the recycling industry.

The Methor which is being launched at the same time was completely redesigned from scratch: It offers maximum flexibility when handling smaller volume flows and thus represents Doppstadt’s entry into a new market segment.

Designed for maximum efficiency
Inventhor Type 6 combines the best of both worlds. Like the Inventhor Type 9, which was launched two years ago, it is based technologically on the latest generation of shredders from Doppstadt. At the same time, it consistently continues the tradition of the DW 3060 – and all the experience gained in this incredibly successful series. The entire machine concept has been optimized for economic efficiency, ease of use, good accessibility and minimized downtime. As unique direct drive principle, the VarioDirect Drive forms the core technology that combines high throughput, low fuel consumption and optimum start-up performance even with difficult shredding jobs. The shredder is able to handle a wide range of applications in the area of pre-shredding thanks to its configurable shredding system with easy-to-replace teeth that are available in size M and L including limiters at the time of market launch. This results in a perfect machine combination when, e.g., Doppstadt’s robust separation solution, the Selector 800 with SWS 800 spiral shaft screening deck, is additionally operated directly in line after the Inventhor Type 6. Doing so allows for the inline generation of a finished product. Presettable material programs essentially support the fast and intuitive operation of the Inventhor Type 6. And the performance- and consumption-optimized drive train makes sure that the Inventhor Type 6 delivers operating costs almost without any rival.

New: Doppstadt quality for small volume flows
The Methor is based on a different, new approach for Doppstadt: It leverages for the first time the advantages of Doppstadt’s high-performance technology for smaller volume flows, monobatches or special materials and is geared to maximum flexibility. The Methor shredding system can be switched over within 60 minutes. Thus, it is predestined for jobs with smaller volumes of materials or frequently changing tasks. Like the Inventhor Type 6, it can be optimally combined as part of more complex systems with other Smart Solutions from Doppstadt, such as the Selector 400 with SWS 400 spiral shaft screening deck. The Methor has also inherited the principles of high availability and economical operation in terms of system design: Installed like a horizontal grinder rotor, its shredding shaft ensures high process reliability and processes the material directly in the conveying direction of the rear belt. In case of the Methor, the Hydraulic Direct Drive provides the best possible regulated output in conjunction with the unique load-controlled material feed by a tipping hopper. This makes sure that the machine always works within the optimum utilization of the shredding unit capacity.

The drive system also reacts agilely to blockages so that the machine protects itself effectively. The internal components are easy to access and optimally cooled thanks to the large ventilation openings. At the time of launch, the machine is powered using diesel engine technology, but the line will additionally be expanded to include an electric drive option. Based on the wide range of possible applications, the Methor is available as a stationary version as well as a carrier version for use with hook lift or on a track-mounted chassis. As special additional feature, the Methor can be connected via WiFi to any smartphone, laptop or tablet that is internet-enabled and has a browser installed regardless of the operating system. The machine can be easily configured and monitored using this interface.
