Replacement Electromagnetic Feeder Supplied to Central London Customer
Hewitt Robins replaces Electromagnetic Feeder with High-Performance Outerbalance Feeder...
Hewitt Robins has successfully replaced an outdated electromagnetic feeder with an advanced outerbalance motor feeder for a customer based in Central London. This upgrade comes in response to a growing issue faced by the customer with their electromagnetic as their feeders have become increasingly unreliable due to wear and tear, compounded by the scarcity of spare parts.
Awarded the contract to undertake this replacement, Hewitt Robins engineered a seamless transition from the existing 0.8 x 1.95m electromagnetic vibrating pan feeder to a simpler, yet highly efficient, bolt-on outerbalance motor feeder. Designed to integrate smoothly into the existing setup, the new feeder required minimal modifications, ensuring a swift and cost-effective installation.
The upgraded feeder now services a cone crusher, maintaining an impressive throughput of around 150 tons per hour (tph). The new feeder not only meets but exceeds performance expectations, delivering a consistent and reliable feed to the crusher. This has significantly reduced operational stoppages, particularly by effectively choke-feeding the crusher and preventing the bin from overfilling.
Jake Goodwin, Wharf Manager, expressed his satisfaction with the new feeder: "The feeder works like an absolute dream and seems a lot better than the existing feeder. The feeder is choke feeding our crusher which has reduced stoppages with the crusher bin topping so overall we are delighted with its performance’’
Hewitt Robins continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering reliable and innovative solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in every project.
