Technology up close: RecyclingAKTIV & TiefbauLIVE to offer practical and impressive live demonstrations

RecyclingAKTIV & TiefbauLIVE, the practically focused demonstration trade fair for mechanical engineering, construction and
environmental technology, is set to once again showcase the innovative strength of these industries. The event will be held from 5 to 7 May and will deliver a comprehensive range of topics at a single location. These will include construction machinery and attachments, material transport and handling, and construction waste recycling, to name just the areas that link the two sectors of the trade fair duo.

“We are back, refreshed and with more new ideas than ever before. I’m looking forward to welcoming visitors back to our practically focused live demonstration trade fair, which will feature new, even more specialised demonstration formats. Events like RecyclingAKTIV & TiefbauLIVE that allow visitors to see machinery in action up close rely on the industry coming together in person. This allows visitors to get to know machinery in realistic operations and prepare or even make investment decisions directly based on the market
transparency they gain here”, explains project manager Olivia Hogenmüller.

Exhibitors highlight trade fair’s importance
Despite being postponed twice due to the pandemic, the event has been able to gain a number of new exhibitors. These include Siebtechnik Tema, Cams M&R Maschinenhandel, Tibatek, Husqvarna and Avant Tecno, who will be showcasing their products and innovations alongside long-standing exhibitors.

“After having missed out on trade fairs for so long, we are delighted to start the event calendar for 2022 with RecyclingAKTIV & TiefbauLIVE. We at DMS Technologie GmbH are looking forward to in-person discussions with industry visitors. We cannot wait to present our new product innovations and see the reactions. Bringing industry specialists together in person to discuss products is
so important”, says Sebastian Gruber, Head of Sales at DMS Technologie GmbH. Around 185 manufacturers and dealers are expected to participate in the event. These cover all stages of the handling, use and recycling of valuable materials like rubble, scrap, metal and waste wood. It will also showcase the full spectrum of civil engineering machinery, with a special focus on road, path and
conduit building, as well as compact construction.

Trade fair returns with new demonstration formats
RecyclingAKTIV & TiefbauLIVE will offer three new demonstration formats to respond to the needs of visitors. The new attachments arena, for example, will offer visitors a series of three specialist tours per day. These will provide an action-packed show highlighting the versatility of the carrier vehicles as they take part in demolition, recycling or ground preparation work. This will make it easier for visitors to find the perfect equipment to boost productivity in their own business. Alongside construction machinery and vehicles, the event will showcase tools like bucket screeners, demolition hammers and attached compactors being demonstrated in realistic construction processes. Expert advisers will be on hand to provide information about the features and applications of the attachments, perfectly complimenting the impressive show.

Topics like special heavy construction and e-mobility are becoming ever more important to market players. The trade fair duo will respond with new and dedicated demonstration areas at the demonstration building sites for both special heavy construction and e-mobility in compact construction, gardening and landscaping. Areas from previous events, like the demonstration building
site conduit construction and the special theme area scrap metal, will of course return.

Finger on the pulse of the industry: trade fair duo addresses key trends
“We want this event to constantly have its finger on the pulse of the industry. Our aim is to showcase solutions to visitors and give them the inspiration they need to master the challenges of an increasingly digitalised, automated and connected construction site. That is why we are placing particular importance on the topics of digitalisation and telematics in the guided tours, for example.

These will visit the stands of providers who supply practical solutions”, explains Hogenmüller. One of these exhibitors is Zeppelin, who will be presenting the advanced Cat 340 UHD Ultra High Demolition excavator. “Demolition and recycling companies who are digitalising their businesses need reliable machinery and transparent processes more than ever. Our telematics and condition monitoring tools perfectly complement our high-performance construction machinery”, explains Anke Hadwiger, Head of Trade Fairs, Events & Training at Zeppelin. The hall area will also host the Founders’ Garage, a start-up zone in collaboration with COREUM. This will offer young businesses a promising platform to market their innovative solutions, sound out potential partnerships, or draw the attention of investors and media. This area will also form the core of the trade fair, making it a place where the industry comes together to grow networks and business relationships.

The SBM Summit for sustainable building materials will also take place alongside RecyclingAKTIV & TiefbauLIVE for the first time on 6 May. This event will feature a one-day special programme to accompany the trade fair, with exclusive expert presentations on topics related to sustainable and ecological materials.
