Doppstadt brand to focus on recycling business while sharpening product portfolio

  • Innovative recycling machines
  • Increased focus on developing mobile electric solutions
  • Increased importance of stationary units

Ferdinand Doppstadt will be staying on course with the business strategy announced in 2019, combining the family-owned group’s expertise. Registered as Langenberger Innovation Group, or LIG, since 1 December 2019, the group encompasses companies and brands in recycling, minerals and raw materials, and biofuels. The group’s Doppstadt brand will be focusing even more on recycling technology, aligning its product range to this field alone. This will include transferring responsibility for DHs forestry chippers production from Doppstadt to LIG.

This differentiated growth strategy follows the aim of ensuring best-in-class products and services for each respective field, according to Doppstadt Umwelttechnik GmbH CEO Gerd Schreier: "The Doppstadt name has an excellent reputation in recycling. We not only launched great new machines at the beginning of 2020, we have already embarked on further plans to live up to our reputation." The company has been delivering its INVENTHOR TYPE 6 and METHOR shredders and innovative separation technology like the SWS since May.

The company also has plans to launch new screening machines soon while pushing development on a three-fraction screening machine and new versions of its SM 620 and 720 Flex machines. Apart from that, the company is beginning development on a fast shredder to replace the AK series in the long term while serving additional application areas.

Compelling mobile and stationary solutions from Doppstadt
Doppstadt will be increasing its efforts in satisfying the trend towards mobile electric solutions, which will also include electrification of the METHOR and INVENTHOR. "This additional focus will allow us to respond even more quickly and accurately to the demands of recyclers for innovative technology," according to Schreier.

Many of the new mobile solutions are also available as stationary units. Increasingly stringent legislation as well as centralisation of materials to be processed have increased the significance of stationary solutions according to Doppstadt Systemtechnik GmbH CEO Henning Strunz: "We have an innovative project development team with the corresponding project leadership capabilities, so we’re well prepared for the upcoming challenges. We provide our customers with optimum solutions from basic engineering to final turnkey units."
