Eccleshall RUFC Charity Bike Ride 2025
This August, a determined group of Eccleshall RUFC players will swap their rugby boots for bikes and take on a gruelling 300km charity bike ride over three days—all in support of causes that matter deeply to us.
Departing from our home in Eccleshall, the team will first head north to Liverpool, visiting our friends at Mossley Hill RUFC, before pushing east through the scenic—but unforgiving—terrain of the Peak District. Day two will see the group heading to Sheffield, home of Sheffield Tigers RUFC. Both clubs have played a special role in recent Eccleshall tours, and this ride is as much a celebration of our rugby community as it is a challenge.
We’re riding with two important goals in mind:
To support Eccleshall Rugby Club’s long-term dream of securing our own pitches and facilities, helping to grow the game at all levels and providing a permanent home for future generations.
️ To raise money for PAPYRUS, the mental health charity working to prevent young suicide, in memory of a much-loved former player who tragically took his own life. His loss still echoes through our club, and we ride in his honour—with strength, compassion, and unity.
This isn’t just about the miles—it’s about the meaning behind every push of the pedal. We're aiming to raise £1,000, and every donation—no matter the size—makes a difference.
