GT Lifting secures world's first order of ten Manitou 40m Rotating Telehandlers

Manitou UK and long-standing equipment partner GT Lifting Solutions have officially finalised a landmark multi-million-pound agreement for the purchase of ten MRT 4080 (40-metre) rotating telehandlers. Representing the world’s first ten-unit order for this new model in Manitou’s Vision+ range, the strategic deal introduces the manufacturer's highest-reaching rotating telehandler capacity to its UK product lineup for the very first time. The MRT 4080 was previewed at Plantworx 2025. Following the event, representatives from GT Lifting visited Manitou’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bologna, Italy, to inspect assembly lines, view the final production configuration of the 8-tonne machines, and conclude the historic agreement—which includes a comprehensive package of specialised attachments.

Joseph Rogers, Managing Director at GT Lifting, commented: “GT Lifting has led the UK construction industry in bringing innovative ROTO telehandlers to market for over 20 years. We are very proud to have been the first to introduce the 26m, followed by the 30m, 35m, 39m, and now the landmark 40m Manitou MRT 4080.

This latest addition and significant investment in our fleet is a testament to the strength of our longstanding partnership with Manitou. Their commitment to engineering excellence and continuous innovation has enabled us to consistently deliver advanced lifting solutions that set new standards for performance, safety, and productivity across the UK. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership for many years to come.”

Driving Innovation and Strategic Growth The MRT 4080 expands Manitou's popular Vision+ range into the 40-metre reach category, setting a new benchmark for Manitou's heavy load management, reach capability, and site safety. Under this exclusive arrangement, the ten units will lead the UK rollout of Manitou’s next-generation 40m rotating technology across major British construction sites.

The deal includes bespoke attachments engineered to maximise the machine's 3-in-1 versatility as a heavy-duty telehandler, mobile crane, and aerial work platform. Deliveries are scheduled to roll out progressively across the UK starting in August, where they will be available nationwide through GT Lifting’s hire network.

Bryonne Skelton, Business Development Key Account Manager for Manitou UK, added: "Delivering the UK’s first MRT 4080 units to GT Lifting is a landmark moment, made even more rewarding by the close partnership we have built over the years. GT Lifting continues to invest heavily in expanding their extensive Manitou MRT fleet, and this deal is a testament to their forward-thinking approach. We are incredibly proud to support their ongoing growth and see our latest innovation join their premium lineup."
