GWS Vacuum Equipment assists new £162 Million Renewable Energy Plant

GWS Vacuum Equipment has recently been used at a new straw fuelled Renewable Energy Plant in North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. The straw fired facility is now fully operational, 3 months ahead of schedule, after its commissioning phase ended late last month.
As part of the commissioning process Italian based company Air Treatment System required a vacuum system at short notice, to carry out vital work over the Christmas holiday period.
Alberto Tummillo of Air Treatment System explained ‘the plant we installed is a Flue Gas Treatment Plant (FGT) that, using powder reagent (lime in this case) reduces the amount of pollutants emitting from the boiler straw-fuelled and with the bag filter remove the dust from the gases, allowing a gas introduced in the environment under strict law-driven emission.’
Air Treatment Systems required equipment immediately for an emergency situation, to remove dust that had been collected in the Power Stations’ bag filter hoppers. After discussing the application with our client we were happy to recommend and provide them with our 50 Series and Filter Hopper equipment, delivered to site via convenient Hi-ab lorry at short notice.
The GWS 50 Series Diesel machine is a compact unit but produces a powerful vacuum performance. Material is intercepted and totally contained in the Filter Hopper, which allows vacuum collected dust to be dispensed into fully sealed FIBC 1-ton bags, without any release of dust on site.
Alberto Tummillo of Air Treatment System commented about the GWS vacuum system ‘it has been of easy use and highly effective, so much that we could evacuate the area in less than two days, while using manpower it would have taken at least one week and with a worse result. The service of delivery and pick-up on site it’s been definitely appreciated'
We aim to make working with us as simple and convenient as possible, we pride ourselves on the quality of our equipment and our high level of customer service.
