Intermat 2018: Wacker Neuson Group extends zero emission range
In hall 6 on stand E98 the Wacker Neuson Group is represented with new products from the Wacker Neuson and Kramer brands. With the battery-powered and thus entirely emission-free vibratory plate AP1850e, Wacker Neuson is presenting a highlight at Intermat and expanding its zero-emission range for operator and environmentally friendly work. With the 8155 model, Kramer presents a new all-wheel steered wheel loader in the 9-ton class.
With the single direction vibratory plate AP1850e, Wacker Neuson displays true innovation. It is the only battery-powered plate on the market and will go on sale following Intermat. With a running time of up to one hour, it can be used for the best part of a workday on almost any building site. The modular concept is of particular interest: the battery and the charger used are the same modules as used in Wacker Neuson's battery rammer. This increases flexibility and, above all, economic efficiency as customers are able to use the battery in one of the devices whilst charging the other, if necessary. “By doing this we are fulfilling our customer’s requirements in view of the practicality and flexibility of use”, Alexander Greschner, Chief Sales Officer of the Wacker Neuson Group was happy to say. The vibratory plate AP1850e is particularly suitable for the compaction of both granular and asphalt surfaces.
“Electric drives are becoming ever more important. These solutions are an important addition to rental fleets, as many of their customers lease products, especially for projects such as interior space restructuring or tunnel construction”, Alexander Greschner adds. "An immense advantage in the application of electric drives is the maintenance-free machine concept, which has also been achieved on this new Wacker Neuson product. The e-vibratory plate is another step towards implementing our aim to offer a real alternative as an emission-free solution in all main product groups in the foreseeable future.” Alongside the new plate, the zero emission range includes two battery rammer models, the dual power excavator, an electric-operated track dumper and two electric wheel loaders, one from Wacker Neuson and one from Kramer. All of these solutions will be at the forefront of the Wacker Neuson Group stand at Intermat.
As a particular highlight, Kramer will be presenting its latest wheel loader 8155 model at the trade fair, its first all-wheel steered model in the 9 ton class. Examples from Wacker Neuson's comprehensive excavator portfolio ranging from 800 kg to 15 tons will also be on show, including two new models in the 3.5 ton class, which stand out for their innovative operating concept, performance efficiency and high economic efficiency. The area of compaction technology will be represented by various rammers, vibratory plates and roller models.
“Intermat is the most important trade fair for the French market”, says François Escourrou, Managing Director of Wacker Neuson France. “In a favorable economic context, the years 2016 and 2017 marked a clear recovery. We are expecting important stimuli for 2018 from the trade fair, at which we are providing an insight into our comprehensive portfolio from concrete compaction to 15 tonne excavators.” The prerequisites are favorable, for example through construction projects that involve the structural reform of Paris’ metropolitan area “Grand Paris” and the 2024 Olympics. The continued urbanization as well as the demand for compact construction machines and customer-oriented services in which Wacker Neuson is specialized will increase over the coming years. In this context, Wacker Neuson is particularly well placed on the market with its zero emission solutions.
“France is a rental market. We can estimate today that 60 percent of dumpers and mini-excavators are rented”, adds François Escourrou. “Accordingly, rental companies are very important customers for us: First of all, the large national rental chains but also the regional rental companies that we deal with through our direct sales network; the rental activity of our dealer network; but also the rental companies our dealers work with. We are already looking forward to welcoming our customers, prospective customers and everyone interested at Intermat and to presenting them with our latest innovations.”
