Lehnhoff Presents World’s First

Within minutes after the world’s leading trade fair bauma 2016 had opened its doors, dozens of well-informed and curious visitors were at the Lehnhoff stand. Of course the company from Baden-Baden was ready to present several interesting novelities and innovations to the present trade press and thus, impressively illustrated their strategy of positioning Lehnhoff Hartstahl as full-liner for all brands.
The bauma 2016 which recently ended, was a true success for Lehnhoff: three highly interesting innovations, a broad amount of presented products on almost 1,000 m² and a very well frequented fair stand at the outdoor area – CEOs Karl-Heinz Traa, Matthias Bürkel, and Michael Koenig can look back at a thoroughly positive week.
Under the eyes of the fascinated trade press, the three new SQ Quickcouplers for excavators from 12 to 70 tons were unveiled. These new symmetric quickcouplers are based on the nordic S-standard. As first manufacturer in the world, Lehnhoff succeeded in developing not only fully-hydraulic S-quickcouplers, but also mechanical and hydro-mechanical ones. Thanks to an innovative new locking technology, even the mechanical and hydro-mechanical quickcouplers can offer absolutely secure locking. CEOs Matthias Bürkel and Karl-Heinz Traa both see enormous potential for the new SQ series, especially on the international market.
The new variolock systems for excavators from 14 to 40 tons, too, were received with great interest : the models VL100-2, VL210-1, and VL250-2 have a new hydraulic tensioning device (HTD) – ensuring that the valve blocks are kept firmly pressed together. As known from the previous variolock models, the new quickcoupling systems also feature the unique in-block depressurisation unit which makes the installation at the excavator so effortless: all relevant valves are integrated in the quickcoupler valve block and thus can be directly depressurized.
The presentation of the new quickcouplers additionally provided the ideal opportunity to show the new assistance system Lehmatic Safety Control (LSC) in action: the new SQ couplers as well as the new generation of the variolock quickcouplers presented in the demonstrations were equipped with the new assistance system Lehmatic Safety Control. Thus, present as well as possible future customers were able to examine the advantages of this visual and accoustical monitoring directly on site.
For several decades now, Lehnhoff successfully forges ahead as independent brand producer and has illustrated this development very clearly at the bauma. Furthermore, the course for the future is set with focus on continuity and innovative capability: the assembly and logistic capacities at the headquarters in Baden-Baden are currently extended. “The great interest of the visitors in our innovations is a clear sign for us that we are on the right track,“ states CEO Karl-Heinz Traa.
On all fair days of the bauma 2016, the Lehnhoff stand was always busy with visitors and numerous spectators were present at the demonstrations of Variolock & Co.
