More Poundfield Alfablocs for major Suffolk Recycling Centre

Following an initial supply of 260 Alfablocs in late 2015 to Tippers 'R' Us of Kesgrave near Ipswich for use as retaining walls at a new recycling centre, Poundfield Products has now delivered a further 217 of the 3.05 m high reinforced concrete sections.

These latest units have been used to provide extra series of large bays for the storage of crushed materials and recycled stone and sands now that a large wash plant has been commissioned on the 44 acre site.

Commenting on the choice of Poundfield, Tippers 'R' Us managing director Guy Nicholls said: "We like the Alfablocs because we are able to use them free-standing which makes them very easy to move around if we need to re-configure our storage bays to ensure best possible use of the space available. We also appreciate the professional look of the Alfablocs and the good, old-fashioned customer service provided by the company."

In addition to the 3.05 m high Alfablocs, Poundfield has also supplied 16 of its1.22 m high versions which have been used to form sand bays alongside the new wash plant.

Poundfield's Alfabloc retaining wall system is designed to be freestanding in most cases and is available in heights from 1.22 to 6 m. The individual units are usually bolted together using galvanised metal plates which help spread horizontal loads and prevent material transfer when loaded on both sides.
