RediTruck A Big Hit From Dorset To The Highlands!
Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) launched RediTruck 12 months ago in a bid to offer its customers brand new refuse vehicles ready to drive away immediately from its own stock, thus eliminating the need to wait the long lead-times required by manufacturers. The company couldn’t have wished for a more positive response from the market place and in the first year has sold over 25 vehicles.
Paul Brown, Commercial Director, RVS said: “We come across a lot of companies who need to react quickly to changes in demand or they suddenly need to replace vehicles in their fleet, and they can’t afford to wait 6 months or more for a vehicle direct from the manufacturer.”
Continued Paul: “So we decided to have a rolling stock of refuse trucks, built with the correct equipment for commercial waste collections, ready for customers to purchase and drive away immediately. The response has been phenomenal and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. We are ordering more trucks all the time.”
Testament to this, in the past month RVS has sold RediTrucks to two waste management companies at opposite ends of the country.
Poole-based W&S Recycling Services has recently won a 10-year contract from Dorset Waste Partnership to continue operating its Household Recycling Centres, and immediately looked to refresh and expand its fleet with new vehicles.
Andrew Tyers, Operations Manager, W&S Recycling: “We were looking to hire vehicles as the new vehicles we had ordered hadn’t arrived. We heard about RVS and their RediTruck service so we gave them a call. They had the exact vehicle we needed in stock with the correct specification. It’s very rare to get the right vehicle ‘off the shelf’. It was delivered within a matter of days and is in operation on our new contract.”
400 miles North in the Scottish Highlands, Munros haulage contractor Crawfords of Beith urgently needed a new refuse vehicle to replace a broken down truck.
Andrew Crawford of Crawfords of Crawford of Beith said: “We only had two weeks to replace a truck that had let us down and we had heard about RediTruck from RVS so we gave them a call. They delivered a brand new, ready for work refuse vehicle, in the exact spec we need, practically immediately.”
