Tradition meets the future: Bechtel Group invests with CDE in the next generation of mineral processing
In the year of its 100th anniversary, the Bechtel Group is taking the next step in its long-term development by investing in wet processing technology.
Together with global wet processing specialist CDE, the family-owned company is developing a state-of-the-art wash plant at its Wallbach site in Bad Säckingen, Germany, demonstrating the Group's long-term commitment to the site while expanding its capabilities in the processing of mineral resources.
Since its foundation in 1926, the Bechtel Group has been dedicated to the extraction, processing and supply of mineral construction materials throughout the Hochrhein region. Over four generations, the family-owned business has continuously evolved, investing in modern processing technology to meet the changing needs of the construction industry. In its centenary year, the Group continues this tradition by making another significant investment in the future of the business.
The construction materials industry continues to evolve. Resource efficiency, product quality and efficient processing technologies are becoming increasingly important. Against this backdrop, the Bechtel Group is investing in a modern wet processing solution that will not only strengthen the company's existing capabilities and support the long-term competitiveness of its Wallbach operation but also support its contribution to the circular economy.

The new wet processing plant will complement the Group's existing processing infrastructure with advanced washing, classification and dewatering technology. The solution has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the Wallbach site, providing the foundation for efficient, high-quality processing of a range of mineral material streams.
To deliver this project, the Bechtel Group has commissioned CDE as its technology partner. The company is internationally recognised for its expertise in wet processing solutions and has extensive experience in designing and delivering complex mineral processing plants.
