Volvo CE appoints Mona Tractor Co Ltd as its new utility equipment dealer for North Wales
Volvo Construction Equipment has appointed Mona Tractor Co Ltd, a long established and highly respected agricultural machinery supplier, as its utility equipment dealer covering the whole of North Wales with immediate effect.
Mona Tractor Co Ltd was established back in 1981on Anglesey by the Jones family. The company has built up a sound and respected reputation as an agricultural dealer handling the John Deere franchise for the past 20 years and has three strategic outlets across the region which includes Llangefni on Anglesey, Criccieth and Ruthin. It is headed up by managing director John Glyn Jones, son of the company’s founder and employs 36 personnel taking care of after sales service, parts and sales. “Up until now our core business has been concentrated on the sales and after sales support of the Deere tractor range, Manitou tele-handlers and associated agricultural equipment in North Wales” says Mr Jones.
“With a desire to expand our business still further we saw the addition of a utility equipment machine franchise as a logical extension to our Company as there are many synergies in terms of our parts and service provision and not least with our client base, so we are very pleased that we have been able to add another quality brand to our portfolio,” he continues.
The company will be responsible for the sales and after-market support for the full range of Volvo utility equipment covering the whole of North Wales i.e. the Isle of Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham and the northern part of Ceredigion to Aberystwyth. This includes compact excavators from 1.5 to 8.8 tonnes; compact wheeled loaders up to 1.0m³ capacity and tandem rollers. Mona Tractors will be strongly supported by Volvo’s regional customer support centre located at Warrington.
