VWS launches WiFi weighing at the CV Show 2020
The market leaders in vehicle weighing and axle overload protection, Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd (VWS), are returning to the CV Show for their 8th year to launch a ground-breaking new product giving customers WiFi connectivity to their vehicle weighing systems and access to live operational data via a phone or tablet...
The VWS WiFi HUB integrates with the VWS LIVE portal to give operators immediate remote access to transactional data such as weights, alerts and vehicle(s) location. VWS has also developed its own app - VWS LIVE - to enable all authorised personnel to access the same data using a phone or tablet. The WiFi HUB actively monitors real-time diagnostics which are then relayed back to the VWS Service Department, providing information for analysis and future product development.
The WiFi HUB can be used on tippers and vehicle overload protection systems and is compatible with VWS VOPS™2 and LOADWEIGH FOR TIPPERS.

The Wifi HUB doesn’t need to be installed inside the vehicle, simplifying the installation. Live weighing and load data can be accessed wirelessly from a smartphone or tablet via the VWS LIVE app. This means that operators and business owners can view real-time operational data from any location.
“The vehicle weight is visible from outside the cab and operations can run more smoothly because shovel loaders, drivers and operators have access to the same information. The system has additional messaging features to help improve communications.”
VWS will also be demonstrating its popular and highly accurate Tipper weighing system - LOADWEIGH 4 – wirelessly at the show. The system prevents overloading and ensures vehicles are compliant as well as operating safely and legally. LOADWEIGH 4 integrates with the WiFi HUB and can be fitted to a wide range of commercial tipper and tanker vehicles to enable operators to reduce the risk of vehicles ‘runnng light’.
Alongside these products VWS will be showcasing its award-winning Vehicle Overload Protection System, VOPS2. An extremely reliable enclosed measurement system, VOPS 2 doesn’t rely upon springs or transducers. The solution can be fitted to most commercial vehicles from 3.5T GVW and up, whether the suspension is steel, air or spring.
