ZF Services UK bolsters aftermarket support for crushing and shredding industrial gearboxes
- ZF Nottingham launches reman service for the complete range of GMH and GME gearboxes
- Full range of parts and service solutions available
- Diagnostics, oil analysis and onsite repairs offered
ZF Services UK has enhanced its capability to support crushing and shredding plant operators within the waste, recycling and quarrying sectors. This includes the ZF range of planetary gearboxes, with a host of parts and service solutions now available.
ZF’s large industrial gearbox segment includes the GMH and GME planetary gearboxes – size 160knm and upwards.
These gearboxes are reliable industrial drives that have proven their reliability and are found in a diverse range of applications beyond crushing and shredding including: Offshore platforms, apron feeders, sugar mills, tunnel boring machines and seed presses.
As part of its expanded offering, ZF Services UK now offers service parts, diagnostics, health checks – including endoscopic inspection and oil analysis – as well as remanufacturing at its Nottingham Centre of Competence.
Gavin Donoghue, ZF Aftermarket’s Off-Highway Business Manager said: “By expanding our parts and service solutions, operators with Doppstadt, Haas and Terex Ecotec crushing and shredding equipment can now benefit from UK-based support for their ZF range of gearboxes. We are currently working with UK dealers to provide a new range of repair options including reman exchange.”
Field Service Support
As part of its service support, certified ZF trained technicians will carry out diagnosis, health checks and commissioning of these gearboxes in many demanding off-highway environments.
Nottingham Centre of Competence
ZF Services UK’s Centre of Competence in Nottingham has also begun remanufacturing, starting with the GMH110 gearbox, commonly found in Haas Tyron 2000 and Terex Ecotec TDS820 applications.
It also stocks and distributes genuine ZF parts, as well as providing a non-ZF gearbox remanufacture and reverse engineering service.
The Nottingham Centre of Competence is a dedicated, modern facility boasting a 6500m² workshop area. It contains industry dedicated workshops with multi-brand capabilities and uses only industry trained technicians working to ZF standards.
Every assembly is tested to original ZF factory specification, with factory updates made on every remanufactured production, all backed by a 12-month, 1500-hour warranty for Off-Highway applications.
Improved Service Performance
As a result, customers reap the benefits from improved service performance, efficiency and cost reductions, through offering simplified access to service, repair and remanufacture, as well as technical support.
