CRJ appoints new Managing Director
CRJ Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Curtis as its new Managing Director. After gaining his engineering degree from Loughborough in 2006, Alan began his career with JCB and progressed through a range of roles during his 18 years with the global manufacturer, before becoming General Manager of the JCB Attachments Division. Alan has since gone on to hold a number Managing Director positions, building on his leadership experience before joining CRJ Services.
Speaking about the appointment, Alan said, “CRJ has built a strong reputation and developed some excellent relationships across the industry. I’m committed to listening to listen to our customers, partners and suppliers and the team at CRJ to build on what makes the business successful.
“From there, it is about building on those strengths. There are some exciting opportunities ahead for CRJ and I want to ensure that we continue developing the business while maintaining the relationships and level of support that customers have come to expect.”
For CRJ’s Directors, Alan’s combination of engineering, commercial and leadership experience was an important part of the appointment. Ben McQuaid explained, “We are delighted to welcome Alan to the CRJ team. His combination of engineering expertise, commercial experience and leadership will be a real asset to the business. It was important to us to appoint someone who not only understands the technical side of what we do but also recognises the value of the long-standing relationships we have built with our customers and manufacturing partners. Alan brings that balance and we’re really looking forward to working with him as we take CRJ into its next chapter.”
Alan’s experience across both large-scale manufacturing and senior business leadership strengthens CRJ’s senior leadership team as the company enters into its next phase of development, building on more than two decades of established manufacturer partnerships and a growing customer base.
Having seen that development first hand during his 22 years with the business, Rob Symons, Director added “CRJ has changed considerably over my time here but our focus on our customers and the principle of the business has remained the same. Alan’s experience and approach is a strong fit for where we want the business to go next.”
Alan’s appointment marks the next stage for CRJ’s development, with the business focused on building upon the strong foundations already in place, while continuing to invest in its people, partnerships and the support it provides to customers across the UK and Ireland.
