Doppelmayr builds second RopeCon® for LENZING AG

For the planned expansion of the transportation of wood chips between the storage area and the digester house at their cellulose processing plant, LENZING AG - a leading company in the field of the production of fibres made from the raw material wood, have ordered a second RopeCon® conveying system.

In a challenging market setting, LENZING AG has invested in their facilities in Lenzing to ensure sustainable raw material supply.

The new system will be approximately 630m in length and transport 350 tph and whern complete will run in parallel to the existing RopeCon®, which has been transporting beech wood chips since 2003.

The distance to be covered is across all existing infrastructure on-site with the highest system availability guaranteed to ensure a smooth production process.

Assembly start is scheduled for spring 2021 and commissioning is planned for October 2021.
