MDS to demonstrate M515 Trommel and Show M300 at Hillhead 2026
MDS®, a global leader in specialist screening equipment, will return to Hillhead 2026 with a live working demonstration of its flagship M515 trommel and a static display of the M300 scalping grid.
The M515 will be showcased in Crusher Alley, where visitors can see the machine operating in real time. Designed for demanding applications, the M515 is ideal for producing riprap and recovering rock material from clay and other cohesive materials.
The latest iteration of the M515 incorporates several design improvements focused on transportability, accessibility and output. A swing-out engine arrangement and dedicated access platform simplify maintenance, while extended fines and mid-product conveyors increase stockpile capacity. The revised engine positioning also allows the unit to be transported on smaller trailers, reducing haulage requirements.
The M515 features a 4m fines drum section and a 1.5m mid-product section, with multiple drum configurations available, including interchangeable screen sections or fully welded drums, allowing customers to tailor the machine to specific applications.
MDS will also have the M300 on display at the Red Knight 6 stand (J8). The M300 is a compact, heavy-duty scalping grid developed in response to customer feedback highlighting limited innovation in this area. Built for challenging materials such as blasted rock and construction and demolition waste, the M300 combines strength with mobility. It features a fully hydraulic setup for fast adjustments without additional equipment, along with a heavy-duty double-deck grid incorporating a T-Bar cassette top deck and mesh bottom deck to deliver efficient and aggressive scalping.
A 1400mm wide collection conveyor with variable speed and a 1400mm wide product conveyor support improved material flow and increased stockpiling capacity, while the compact footprint provides ease of transport and manoeuvrability across sites.
“Hillhead is an important event for MDS, and we’re looking forward to engaging with customers and demonstrating our equipment in a real working environment,” said Steven Keenan, General Manager, MDS. “Having the M515 in operation allows visitors to see how it performs in demanding conditions, while the M300 provides a clear example of how we are responding to customer feedback with practical, next-generation solutions. Together, they showcase our focus on durability, performance and continuous product development.”
With over 30 years of experience in aggregate handling, quarrying, mining, and recycling applications, MDS continues to focus on delivering robust equipment designed for the toughest operating environments. Visitors can see the M515 in action in Crusher Alley and visit the M300 at stand J8 (Red Knight 6) to meet the team and learn more.
