Parker announce the high voltage expansion of the NX8M Mobile Motor Series for Electrified Off Road and Mobile Applications
Compact, cost‑efficient power for electrified off‑road and mobile applications.
Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, today announced the launch of a new high‑voltage extension to its proven NX8M mobile motor family. Developed in response to market demand for a high‑voltage version of the Parker NX8 to extend the motor’ proven benefits to higher‑power vehicles, the NX8M high‑voltage range enables the use of Parker’s compact permanent‑magnet motors on higher‑power vehicles equipped with high‑voltage batteries, delivering compact, cost‑efficient power for electrified off‑road and mobile applications.
The NX8M high‑voltage range is engineered to meet demanding mobile and off‑road applications, from construction vehicles, refuse trucks, electric pleasure boat, airport ground vehicles and small electric traction platforms to truck cranes, electric actuators and electro‑hydraulic pump (EHP) systems. It offers a compact footprint and high-power density for cost‑efficient integration where space and weight are critical.
The NX8M supports battery voltages of up to 800 VDC, delivers up to 99 kW and runs to 8,000 rpm, and is available in three new high‑voltage sizes with a square 156 mm frame compatible with SAE A, SAE B or ISO 3019/2 for direct pump mounting.
Multiple winding options allow rotation speed and efficiency to be optimized for different vehicle architectures and battery voltages. The robust design details include optional water or oil cooling and resolver feedback for reliable operation in harsh environments.
“Customers asked for a high‑voltage version of our NX8 family so they could extend the motor’s proven benefits to higher‑power vehicles,” said Bruno Jouffrey, Mobile Market Manager, Electric Motion & Pneumatic Division, Parker Hannifin. “The NX8M high‑voltage range preserves the compactness, ease of mounting and reliability our customers expect, while delivering the power and efficiency required for modern electrified mobile platforms.”
Parker offers application engineering support for system selection, cooling integration and inverter matching to ensure optimal performance and reliability for each customer implementation.
