Pneumatic Conveying of Bulk Materials - Short courses for the Process Engineer

***Taking place in May, we offer Pneumatic Conveying of Bulk Materials  with a choice of 2 formats: online or face to face. Both courses contain the same content, just the venue varies.

A basic level course covering subjects including system components, design techniques, operation and control of blow tank systems, explosion hazards and operational problems. The course also deals with the important but often neglected area of interfacing storage bins with conveying systems.

Amongst the packed programme, you will learn:

  • Techniques for reducing product degradation during conveying
  • Ways to reduce maintenance, repair and unplanned stoppages to pneumatic conveying equipment
  • Explosion Hazards including ATEX Directives

Attendees on this course are also invited to join the Practical Workshop where some of the theory aspects are demonstrated in our on-site laboratories.

A former delegate said of this course: Wonderful training course, it had the exact depth I needed to enhance my knowledge in conveying systems. All my questions I had in mind were answered, either through the training material content or through discussions during the course.
Hashim Al-Jazzaf, Senior Improvement Engineer, Equate, Kuwait

***Taking place in June, we are pleased to return to the classroom with the popular advanced course Pneumatic Conveying System Design; An in-depth exploration of detailed calculations for design of pneumatic pipelines and specifying plant;

A selection of topics featured includes:

  • Lean versus dense phase – relative advantages in practical application, and applicability to different materials;
  • A detailed look at obtaining conveying information for the material to be handled, and how to scale this up for pipeline design;
  • Different equations for predicting pipeline pressure drop and throughput;
  • Stepped bore pipelines – how they enhance system performance and reduce problems, and how to design them;

A former delegate said of this course: I found the course very informative.  I think it gives the attendee a detailed insight into and explanation of the factors affecting pneumatic conveying system design. Dan Liptrott; Rospen Industries

Who should attend?
All courses are written with the engineer in mind.  They are recommended for operators who handle bulk materials daily, for maintenance, Health & Safety officers, plant or equipment designers and manufacturers, or management of such staff. Anyone who handles any form of bulk material could benefit from attending.

Fees and Registration:

Starting at £675 online/ £825 on campus, discounts are applied for group bookings and multiple registrations.
