Hillhead is the biggest exhibition of its kind in the world and this year the exhibition, set in the unique surroundings of a real Derbyshire limestone quarry, will see some 600+ exhibitors.  The show is organised by the QMJ Group and is set to host over 20,000 industry professionals over the three days of the show.  

As such a leading and targeted exhibition, Quarrying Manufacturing & Supplies (QMS) will proudly be displaying a selection of its leading equipment for the minerals extractive industries.  Hillhead is the ideal exhibition to show how QMS has passionately striven to deliver exceptional engineering, designing, developing, and delivering process solutions that support customers in the quarrying, mining, recycling and demolition industries, globally.

Crushing excellence

Although spare and wear parts will form an integral feature of the QMS offering at Hillhead, in order to highlight why QMS equipment has increasingly becoming the crushers and screens of choice in many quarries and aggregate plants throughout the UK, Europe and Africa, QMS will give pride of place to a selection of its crusher offering. This will include JB Series jaw and B Series cone crushers.

QMS JB Series jaw crushers are designed to offer the best in crushing engineering excellence; the robust design, complete with high quality cast steel components and premium spherical roller bearings, contributes to reliability and high performance. With excellent availability, the QMS JB Series jaw crushers cover a diverse range of applications, each engineered to maximise productivity while minimising operating costs. With quality and productivity endemic to the design, the JB Series exemplifies the finest in engineering excellence, delivering low cost of ownership to deliver high levels of operational profitability. The JB Series of jaw crushers is available as a base unit or part of modular plant. Jaw sizes available range from 930 x 580mm to 1400 x 1200mm, producing a CSS from 60mm to 250mm and scalped production up to 1,500tph.

Also to be exhibited will be a selection of QMS’ B-Series range. This consists of different sized models that have been specifically engineered to deliver the maximum productivity with reduced operating costs. Designed, developed and manufactured in the UK and offering the best in engineering excellence, the B-Series is manufactured with high quality cast steel components and premium spherical roller bearings that directly contributes to reliability and high performance.

One of the key features of the B-Series cone crushers is a unique hydraulic system which provides automatic overload protection by allowing the head assembly to drop, permitting the passage of tramp iron and other non-crushable material. The system then automatically returns the head assembly to its original position. The unique design of the hydraulic system means the crusher operates at a definite setting with less setting drift and greater stability throughout the circuit. The crusher setting is instantaneously maintained even after passing a piece of uncrushable material.

QMS B Series is increasingly seen as the cone crusher of choice for many multinational and independent quarries and aggregate plants. The series has been proven to deliver a blend of high motor power, large eccentric throw and increased speed to deliver greater capacity than other crushers of comparable size. The truly modern design creates excellent product shape and can be configured to maximise production of premium single sized aggregates. In addition, QMS is able to support its equipment with its own engineers and has the industry knowledge to adapt any plant to suit the quarry, mine or aggregate plant’s unique requirements.
