Terex returns to IFAT with Multi-Brand Environmental Presence
Terex® returned to IFAT 2026 with a coordinated presence from five of its Terex Materials Processing Environmental brands—Ecotec, Green‑TecTM, CBI®, ZenRobotics® and Terex® Recycling Systems— reflecting the continued development of its portfolio across recycling, waste processing and vegetation management.
“We saw strong engagement across the stand throughout the show,” said Tony Devlin, VP of Terex Environmental. “Bringing our brands together in one place at IFAT enables customers and distributors to see how our solutions connect across different applications and material streams.”
A key part at this year’s event came from Ecotec, which used IFAT as the platform to introduce its new brand identity. The update reflects the evolution of the business over more than a decade, during which Ecotec has become a recognised market leader across multiple regions. The new identity formed the backdrop to a display with shredding, screening and trommel solutions on the stand and the TXS 350 Starscreen operating in the VDMA Practical Days area.
Also present in the VDMA demonstration area was CBI, reinforcing its capability in wood processing and waste reduction, with the 5400BT horizontal grinder in operation. Designed to accommodate a range of materials through its field‑swappable rotor system, the machine reflects the emphasis on flexibility that underpins many of the solutions presented at the show.
Green‑Tec, which specialises in tree care and vegetation management equipment, returned to IFAT as a more established part of the Terex Environmental portfolio, following its introduction at the 2024 event. The focus this year was on the MT2 tracked mulcher, a machine developed for land clearance and vegetation management in more challenging terrain.
ZenRobotics provided a further dimension to the overall offering, focusing on automated sorting and process visibility to identify inefficiencies, protect equipment and improve recovery rates across the process. The team showcased the OmniPicker, which supports reliable separation of multiple material streams at high speed using AI-supported recognition, while ZenVision analyses material flow in real time, giving operators a clearer view of waste composition and system performance at key points in the process.
Finally, Terex Recycling Systems, which manufactures modular recycling plants and products, used a detailed scale model to show how individual machines are configured into a complete waste-processing line. The model traced material flow from feed and separation through to advanced sorting, including a 2D ballistic separator, eddy current system and a ZenRobotics sorting zone. By presenting the full process in sequence, it gave visitors a clear view of how each stage connects in practice, highlighting the role of integration in delivering efficient, consistent sorting performance.
Across the stand and demonstration areas, the combined presence of Ecotec, CBI, Green‑Tec, ZenRobotics and Terex Recycling Systems reflected how Terex has broadened from established shredding and screening equipment through to vegetation management and AI-led sorting, moving beyond individual machines to a more complete environmental offering.
“IFAT remains an important opportunity to engage directly with the market,” Devlin added. “This year’s show reinforced the demand for equipment that is reliable, easy to work with and capable across a range of materials. Just as important is the strength of the teams behind each brand — having those specialists on the stand made it possible to have more practical, informed discussions, and it was good to see such strong engagement from those who took the time to visit.”
