Tyre Boss to the rescue – again

When a call went out on a social media platform for quick turnround on some specialist tyres for a Watling JCB customer there was only ever going to be one company that would hop straight on it and find a rapid solution.

Small, but with a big reputation for service, Tyre Boss is a well-known supplier of tyres for OTR applications – whether that is in the waste, mining, agricultural or construction.

The customer required a set of durable, industrial spec 380/75 R20 tyres for a new JCB 527-58 Loadall telescopic handler to work on an industrial site with a concrete yard. Sam Conway of Watling JCB needed the uprated tyres to secure the deal for the machine, so was delighted when Wayne Collins of Tyre Boss got in touch to offer a solution.

This involved tweaking the size of tyre slightly, but his recommended specification made total sense and helped to seal the deal for the machine. The Dunlop 365/80R20 SPG8 tyres were delivered to me here at Watling JCB and fitted by our own service technicians. Not only do they look the part, but the customer has given great feedback on them and appreciates all our efforts to satisfy his strict requirements.”

Wayne has previously provided a similar service to JCB’s Waste & Recycling Division for a set of part-used solid tyres that enabled a customer to keep his JCB telehandler operational – and the business up and running - whilst waiting for an upgraded machine to arrive.

Tyre Boss is already a go-to supplier for the waste, recycling and metals industries as the sole UK dealer for TY Cushion solid tyres. In 2020 the company was awarded the agency for TechKing tyres for the UK and also has exceptional contacts with a myriad of other tyres suppliers.
