This week Graepels decided to focus on the benefits of self cleaning screens within the recycling industry.

Certain materials have a tendency to stick onto screens this is known as binding, materials can also become wedged (pegging) due to the humidity, shape or plastic thus greatly effecting the Production capacity therefore becoming less efficient. This can also increase the down time of a machine.

In order to avoid this issue Graepels manufacture a selection of self cleaning screens and Piano wires which are fabricated with crimped or straight wires, these vibrate independently of each other. The vibration of the wires and machine, combined with the weight of material allow for an increase in production while also increasing the life span of the screens.

Both screens are manufactured in apertures from 1 to 20mm, with a wire thickness of 0.65 up to 3mm depending on the screen specification and all of the standard screen sizes are available, however, bespoke sizes are available on request to suit any screen-box requirements.
