Collard invests in additional concrete batching plant
We’ve installed and commissioned a new concrete batching plant at our Nursling site near Southampton, expanding our award-winning, high-performance Collard-branded ready-mix concrete offering across the South Hampshire area.
The new Nursling batching plant can produce up to 90 cubic metres of ready-mixed concrete per hour with a 2m3 BHS twin shaft mixer for consistency in all mixes giving quality throughout. With 350 tonne bulk cement storage capacity and six aggregate bins the new plant gives us plenty of scope to produce our recycled mix design products.
Our high‑quality ready‑mix is engineered to perform across almost any application, from fast‑setting and ultra‑durable to waterproof, cemfloor self‑levelling screed, CBS, dry screed and high‑strength mixes. Repurposing construction and demolition waste in this way significantly lowers the carbon footprint of our products without compromising on strength.
