GAP adds more Trime lighting towers
The largest independent hire company in the UK, GAP Hire Solutions, is helping its clients to reduce their carbon emissions with their latest investment in Trime-manufactured lighting towers.
GAP has confirmed its commitment to offering sustainable alternatives to fossil-fuel-powered machinery by purchasing over 300 no. Trime site lighting sets.
GAP currently has more than 2,000 Trime lighting sets available to hire for a variety of applications throughout the UK, including large tier 1 contractors, HS2, and Sizewell, etc.
Each year, GAP reviews and benchmarks its tower light requirements, and has selected Trime as its principal supplier of lighting towers, citing Trime’s product quality, eco credentials, careful account management, alongside Trime’s after-sales service and its accredited training programmes.

Popular with GAP’s clients are the Trime X-ECO HYBRID and the X-ECO LED lighting sets.
The X-ECO HYBRID is an LED lighting tower that is powered by a combination of a lithium battery and a small, fuel-efficient diesel engine. X-ECO HYBRID can be fully recharged in less than 3.5 hours. This means that for 80% of the operation, the X-ECO HYBRID is powered exclusively by its batteries and therefore emits zero noise and zero carbon emissions. Noise-sensitive areas will profit from the X-ECO HYBRID as it operates silently for up to 11.5 hours.
The Trime X-ECO LED features 6 no. 160W, 48V multi-directionally adjustable LED lights floodlights, with safe 48V power between the generator and the lights. The vertical hydraulic mast has seven sections, rising to a maximum height of 8.5m with 340° rotation and wind stability up to 110 km/h. Easy lifting is via a central lifting eye with longitudinal and transversal forklift pockets for safe handling and transportation.
