National Pile Croppers to exhibit at ConExpo-Con/Agg
National Pile Croppers (NPC) is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting an array of its hydraulic pile croppers at ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas from the 3-7 March. The equipment will be shown as part of the total solutions offering of NPC ‘s partner in North America, Pinnacle Drilling, at the company’s stand, which will be located on the Platinum Lot, booth P7667...
Following unprecedented success in the UK, Europe and Australia, NPC has once again shown its commitment to the US and Canada by exhibiting at ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas. Alongside one of its partners in North America, Pinnacle Drilling, NPC aims to bring a full solutions package to the show in order to help provide North American companies with the operational benefits derived from the revolutionary equipment.
The Las Vegas show will provide the perfect opportunity to meet and share the unique benefits of NPC hydraulic pile croppers with North American field contractors in person. Alongside other members of the Pinnacle Drilling offering, NPC will show how its cropping solutions and Pinnacle expertise can help transform contractor operations throughout North America and beyond.
State of the art solutions
Pinnacle Drilling will be specifically exhibiting the NPC Quad series which has proved to be highly popular with American and Canadian customers. The origin of the Quad family, the Quad 600 cropper, has been designed to be used in reducing augured (round) piles up to 600mm diameter, will be exhibited at the show. It utilises four powerful and fully synchronised rams with specially designed blades to give a superb pile cut. Additionally the cropper will also hold the cut pile section safely for removal to a designated safe area.
Best utilised on piles with ‘debonded’ reinforcement bars, the Quad 600 design gives it a very small footprint to enable access into tight spaces. The Quad 600 can also be used to reduce contiguous and secant piled walls with spacing as close as 100mm. Other members of the range include the Quad Large 750 cropper which can be used to reduce contiguous and secant piled walls with spacing as close as 150mm. The Quad XL 1000 cropper is designed to be used for the reduction of augured (round) piles up to 900mm diameter. The latter can also be used to reduce contiguous and secant piled walls with spacing as close as 150mm.
The NPC pile cropper works with a hydraulic connection between the excavator and the pile cropper via quick release fittings on excavators (generally ranging from 13t to 30t). The excavator lifts the pile cropper over the pile and addresses the first pile cut at 300mm from the top of the concrete pile with the cropper being powered via the excavator. The four blades of the cropper then connect with the pile in sync enabling cutting of the pile and then removal of manageable sections.
Going forward
National Pile Croppers sales director Scott Fitchett says of the ConExpo-Con/Agg show in Las Vegas and the relationship with its partners in North America: “Pinnacle Drilling’s (along with NPC’s other North American partners) vast local market knowledge, industry expertise, vision, ethos, values and drive make them the perfect choice for the National Pile Cropper Group. This will enable us to provide customers in the US and Canada with the benefits of our comprehensive range of pile croppers. We are sure that at ConExpo-Con/Agg there will be many North American contractors who will be interested in this customer and application focused solution that is ideal for use in America and Canada. We look forward to meeting with visitors to the Pinnacle Drilling stand.”
