Stevens Equipment Rental upsizes dozer offer for major earthmoving projects
The addition of the larger D7 dozers from Caterpillar is a first for the family-run firm, expanding its capabilities for major earthmoving projects and continuing its 50th anniversary fleet investment.
Following its recent investment in D5 and D6 models, Stevens Equipment Rental (SER) is further expanding its Caterpillar dozer fleet by adding the larger Cat D7 for the first time.
The new D7 dozers are a direct response to customer demand for a machine with greater capacity on large-scale earthmoving projects and enhance SER’s ability to provide a complete ‘one-stop-shop’ solution for contractors, from site preparation to final trim.
“These new additions are a natural next step in our fleet's evolution," said Mark Need, sales manager for the North & Scotland at SER. "Our customers are taking on bigger and more ambitious projects, and they told us they needed a heavier-duty dozer in our fleet. We listened, and we’ve delivered a machine that meets that need perfectly.”
The Cat D7 is a powerful and efficient dozer, designed to move more material at a lower cost. Its fully automatic 4-speed transmission and high-drive undercarriage deliver superior performance without a significant increase in fuel consumption. Like SER’s other new Caterpillar dozers, the D7 fleet is specified with advanced grade control technology to boost productivity.
Demonstrating immediate demand, the new D7 dozers have been deployed directly to a major earthmoving project in Scotland.
SER has also recently taken delivery of the first Cat 352 in a larger Caterpillar excavator order from Finning UK & Ireland.
Marking its 50th anniversary, SER continues to deliver on its longstanding promise to customers: offering a cutting-edge premium fleet that meets their needs with the trusted, personal service of a family-run business.
